Dr. Lin is certified by the American Board of Urology. He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Connecticut Affiliated Hospitals in Farmington, Connecticut, and his Urologic Surgery residency at the Veteran's Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, and Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. Dr. Lin joined Flagler Hospital's active medical staff in 1979 and since then, has been in private practice in St. Augustine, Florida. Dr. Lin is a versatile surgeon, specializing in laser urological surgery that treat BPH bladder tumor urethral stricture, chronic cystitis and genital warts. Since 1995, he has performed laser prostatectomy (with KTP and YAG). The procedure requires only light anesthesia, is relatively painless, has a much shorter recovery period than TURP, and most importantly, has remarkable results. This treatment works by completely vaporizing the excess prostate tissue by applying a laser delivered through a fiber optic probe.
